Emerging from the ashes of the early '80's Boston hardcore scene, SLAPSHOT quickly became the torch bearers of a new, more agressive, revitalized Boston scene. formed in 1985, SLAPSHOT is comprised of Jack Kelly (a.k.a." Choke"), former lead singer of the legendary NEGATIVE FX and the notorious LAST RIGHTS, Mike Bowser and returning original drummer Mark McKay. Fed up with the current trends in hardcore ("metal-core", "rap-core","krishna-core", etc. ) SLAPSHOT is bringing back the sound that made hardcore great in the first place: fast, agressive, no compromise music with conviction-
After a few years of slow activity (only 2 shows in 1997 and none in 98) Slapshot came back in force in 1999 with a almost Sold-out tour in Europe. They are currently recording new songs and old songs for an upcomming album and there are rumors of a tour in Japan in the futur. If you thought it was over, think again, they are back to piss you off again... and again
